Educational Qualification

Educational Requirements:

Completed 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics from school education boards approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, securing at least 50% marks overall.

OR

Successfully finished a three-year diploma in Engineering (fields like Mechanical, Electrical, Automobiles, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, or Information Technology) from a Polytechnic Institute recognized by Central, State, or Union Territory authorities, with a minimum of 50% marks in total.

OR

Completed a two-year Vocational Course including non-vocational subjects such as Physics and Mathematics, from education boards acknowledged by Central, State, or UT authorities, achieving at least 50% marks overall.

Note: Students currently appearing for their 12th Board Exams in the 2024-25 academic year can also apply if they meet all other conditions. However, these candidates will only be considered for selection if they present their original marksheet during later recruitment stages (online copies won’t be accepted) and achieve the required minimum marks, both in total and in individual subjects, based on their category’s standards.

The Navy Agniveer SSR recruitment involves a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), a written exam, and a medical examination. Candidates must qualify in each stage to be selected.

4. Important Notes

  • There is no pension or gratuity under the Naval Pension Regulations, as Agniveers serve only for 4 years unless absorbed into the regular cadre (up to 25% of the batch).
  • After completion of 4 years, candidates get a Seva Nidhi of over ₹10 lakhs along with allowances earned during the service.
  • Starting in-hand salary is ₹21,000 which increases to ₹28,000 by the fourth year.
