The Railway Recruitment Board Group D 2025 recruitment process consists of four stages:

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT): Candidates must appear for a written exam to qualify for the next stage.
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Shortlisted candidates from the CBT must pass a physical test to proceed further.
  3. Document Verification (DV): Candidates who clear PET will have their eligibility documents verified.
  4. Medical Examination (ME): A final medical fitness test will be conducted before selection.

Candidates must apply online through the official RRB websites. Multiple applications are not allowed and can lead to rejection and debarment from the recruitment process.

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is a mandatory qualifying stage in the Railway Recruitment Board Group D 2025 selection process. Candidates are shortlisted for PET based on their performance in the Computer-Based Test (CBT), with the number of candidates called being three times the total vacancies (subject to change by the Railways).

PET Criteria:

**Male Candidates:**

– Diploma/Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in place of ITI or Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) for Level-1 posts unless specified.
– Graduate Act Apprentices will not be considered as a substitute for Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA).
– As per the Supreme Court ruling, canteen staff of MB Division NR are eligible to apply, with a relaxation in educational qualifications requiring a minimum of Class VII pass.

The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 36 years as of 01.01.2025. Age relaxation is provided as follows:

– 3 years for candidates affected by COVID-19
– 5 years for SC/ST candidates
– 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates
– 10 years for PwBD candidates
– Ex-Servicemen as per government rules

The application fee is as follows:

– ₹500 for General/OBC candidates (₹400 refunded after appearing in CBT)
– ₹250 for SC/ST/Others (fully refunded after appearing in CBT)

The last date to pay the fee is 03.03.2025 (23:59 Hrs).

Fee waivers apply to SC/ST, PwBD, Female, Transgender, and Ex-Servicemen candidates.

The initial pay for RRB Group D 2025 is ₹18,000 per month as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix. In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will also receive allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and other benefits as per the rules of Indian Railways. The total in-hand salary may vary depending on the location and applicable allowances.
